In the 2010s, Trabzon Municipality implemented a comprehensive urban transformation project. Within the scope of the project, rehabilitation and landscaping works were carried out in Zağnos Valley.

The valley has a unique spatial richness with its sheltered structure, natural vegetation and landscape resulting from its topographic feature. In addition, various existing public buildings also offer potential use.

Trabzon Municipality is carrying out a study to include the city in the UNICEF-supported "Child Friendly Cities" program. In this context, preparations have been made for the "Trabzon Children's Valley" project, which is planned to be realized in this location.

Zağnos Valley is a unique urban space choice in terms of the corporate identity, integrity and sustainability of the project. There will be 6 centers, cafeterias, restaurants, sales units, game and recreation areas, libraries, exhibition and amphitheater areas in the planned Children's Valley, and the relevant center operators in the valley will include It will cover a sustainable lifelong learning model by regularly updating training and activity contents under the control of art directors, experts, academics, educators and consultants.

In addition, the areas where the centers are located have been designed to attract the attention of many local and foreign visitors by creating comprehensive cultural centers and social meeting places with cafeterias, shops, research units and conference-training facilities, as well as main exhibitions and temporary exhibitions.

By establishing educational, cognitive, cultural and social centers for children in the valley, children are taught practically music, theatre, design, sculpture, nature, agriculture, science, gastronomy, sports, painting, history, etc., through expert trainers in different fields. An educational model organization that touches, feels, discovers and applies by giving trainings has been designed.

Trabzon Children's Valley is designed as a cultural center for children as well as young people and adults. The valley will become an important center of attraction for local people, neighbors in the surrounding provinces, and local and foreign tourists.
